Become A MEMBER
Joining the Highland Park Community Land Trust means becoming an essential part of a collective effort to nurture our community and safeguard its future. As a member, you will contribute to initiatives aimed at creating more affordable housing and promoting sustainable open space stewardship of Highland Park open spaces. Your involvement not only strengthens the advocacy for housing justice but also empowers residents to actively participate in shaping their neighborhood. With various membership categories available, there’s a place for everyone to engage and make a meaningful impact. We invite you to join us in creating a vibrant, inclusive community where every voice matters.
About MEMBERship
If you're a Highland Park resident, age 18 or older, join us as a voting member to make a lasting impact in your community. You can participate by either paying the $45 annual membership fee or volunteering three hours with one of HPCLT’s dedicated committees. Non residents can also join as non voting sustaining members who support our vision for more affordable homes and sustainable open spaces.

OUR GOALS
Win Competitive RFPs
Apply for and win city of Boston RFPs “For both open space and affordable housing projects. Our open space vision is collaboration with many stakeholders and abutters. We will always seek to partner with black and brown housing developers.
GROW our NUMBERS
Increase to a minimum membership of 300 residents across all categories representing the diversity of Highland Park, as well as members beyond who augment our resources.
OBTAIN GRANTS and LOANS
Increase our financial capacity through grant writing and collaborations with lending institutions.
CONTINUE our OUTREACH
Keep working with Greater Boston CLT Network.
CREATE a NATURAL OPEN AREA
Conclude the successful transfer of the Cedar-Juniper Natural Area from the Trustees of Reservations to HPCLT to become a revitalized community open space for the neighborhood to use.
CONTINUE our EVENTS
Continue co-sponsoring events with other neighborhood organizations.
HIRE an ORGANIZER
Hire a part-time staffer to organize outreach so that all residents of Highland Park understand the HPLCT and the benefits it offers.
